Goals
- To elevate the professional level of educational staff and social workers (teachers, educational consultants, teaching assistants, school prevention Methodist in schools) working with Romani children and their families. Further aim is to provide educational staff with possibility of gaining the experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, with Romani pupils, their families and life among Romani communities, and with pupils speaking different mother tongue than Czech.
- To create space for meetings and mutual communication between people who run or who are willing to run projects aimed at the issue and who would like to create natural conditions for sharing mutual experience within the area of working with pupils with special educational needs, with Romani children and their families.
- To reinforce competencies of educational staff mentioned above, to create a space for sharing positive experience and to start mechanisms of future mutual learning.
Due to the aims mentioned above, outcomes of the project are oriented on workshops for teachers, innovation of courses for pre-graduate teachers, all based on the experience of foreign countries. The project also implies the establishment of the Centre for Inclusive Education, as well as publishing a monograph, a methodical book aimed at inclusive education for teachers and other educational staff working in kindergartens and elementary schools.
