Project is realized by the Faculty of Education of South Bohemia University in České Budějovice – the Department of Pre-primary and Primary Education and the Department of Education. University is public and its agenda consists of future teachers’ training, and social educators and school psychologists’ training. Systematic support realized by the project activities will be provided for five elementary schools, whose teachers work with Romani pupils. Partners of the project are the University of Iceland – School of Education and VID Specialized University – Centre for Intercultural Communication.

Key persons:

doc. PhDr. Miluše Vítečková, Ph.D. (mviteckova@pf.jcu.cz) – head of the Department of Pre-primary and Primary Education, former primary school teacher, certified lector of collective education and school special educator/consultant for elementary school with pupils coming from socio-economically disadvantaged and culturally different environment. She supports teachers (primarily teachers in training) in their development of teaching and personal competencies (previous projects – OP VK Profession support of primary education teachers, OP VVV Support of collective learning in kindergartens), in inclusive education (team member of the project OP VVV We can do it together – effective support and collaboration in school). She is one of the authors of the book Novice teacher within the inclusive education (PF JU, České Budějovice, 2020) and the author of academic paper Primary school pupils´ perception of difference (Pedagogická orientace, 2018).

Mgr. Marie Najmonová, Ph.D. (mnajmonova@pf.jcu.cz) – university teacher, who orients her research and teaching to inclusive education and to the development of pedagogical and diagnostic competencies of teachers. In the past, she was teacher in elementary school aimed at pupils with specific behaviour development disorders and pupils coming from socio-economically disadvantaged and culturally different environment. She is one of the authors of the book Novice teacher within the inclusive education (PF JU, České Budějovice, 2020) and the author of academic paper Primary school pupils' perception of difference (Pedagogická orientace, 2018). She also professionally guaranteed activities in five elementary schools within the project We can do it together – effective support and collaboration in school.

PhDr. Miroslav Procházka, Ph.D. (mproch@pf.jcu.cz) – head of the Department of Pedagogy and Vice-dean for Collaboration in Teaching Practice and for Accreditations at the Faculty of Education, South Bohemia University in České Budějovice. He is a former teacher of high school. The main interest of his research are represented by school and social pedagogy and the issues of teaching profession and upbringing of pupils. He is an author and co-author of many academic papers and monographs aimed at the issue of pre-primary and primary education, risky behaviour prevention, upbringing role of a teacher and teachers' preparedness for prevention and upbringing work in schools. At present, he is a member of Czech pedagogical society management committee and The R Movement of collaborating schools management committee. He works for the Czech Association for pedagogical research, and for Association of Institutions for Further Education, and he is a member of editorial board of the Social pedagogy journal (CZ), Konteksty Pedagogiczne (Poland) and International Journal of Teaching & Education (CZ)
